My professional IAP colleagues

Today I would like to share my unforgettable sales seminar experience with you. You may think that I am exaggerating….trust me, I am not!

The seminar took place around 7 months after starting with the program and lasted 5 days. Our course instructor was from Great Britain and had sales experience for more than 20 years.

During these 5 days she managed to share with us deep insights of her long term career.

In advance to the seminar every IAP had to prepare a presentation on the same topic. We all completed a web based training focusing on how to successfully prepare and perform presentations. We then had to present the topic in front of our colleagues and … in front of a camera :-) You may imagine what followed next… Exactly, a highly structured and analytical feedback session for every single one of us, from every single one of us including of course our course instructor.  I found it amazing to observe myself from a completely different perspective. I had been the presenter and the listener at the same time.

Building on that, we then focused on how to effectively use our body language, the tone of our voice but also specific wording techniques! Performing emotional speeches such as Martin Luther’s “I have a dream” or plays such as Shakespeare’s “Othello” in our individual way helped us understanding certain unconscious processes better.
