Dear blog followers,
Welcome to day three at Lufthansa Cargo in Paris.
Today we are sending one-day old chicks into the world.
In the morning I came into the warehouse and heard a high pitch sound. I saw the build-up of packages containing one-day old chicks of another airline in our warehouse. Therefore, I could compare the transporting material for chicks of LCAG and the other airline.
The LCAG material for chicks is more animal friendly, as we use boxes with a lot of wholes to create an air stream and let the heat go out. The LCAG supervisors told me that LCAG has stricter rules for the transport of live animals than other airlines.
Besides chicks, we also transport passengers’ dogs and cats from Paris to their destination.
