Welcome back guys! Today we’re going to change location…taking the LH 404 to New York! New York is where I was born and raised, and where I currently work about 60% of the time. We have two offices in New York since we’re the regional headquarters for North and South America- one in Long Island, and one in Manhattan—get this—at the Empire State Building! We’re on the 27 floor. Check out the view from my desk! Not bad huh?
The Manhattan office is our Sales and Marketing office, where many of our Key Account Managers and Marketing Manager are based. I spent the month of September (and will also spend December) there, working on projects, going on sales calls to big agencies around NYC, and helping with publicity and marketing events for Lufthansa. One of the cool things we did while I was there was an Oktoberfest event in a bar/restaurant in the Lower East Side. The Lower East Side is a very trendy neighborhood in New York City, with a lot of great bars and restaurants with food from all around the world. Our marketing and corporate communications team were able to get the Lufthansa flight crew from the Munich-JFK flight, LH 410, to come in their Oktoberfest outfits, dirndls and all! They looked incredible as you can see. We spent the evening eating delicious German food, enjoying German beer and listening to some good German tunes. We had lots of attendees, photographers and public relations people there so it was a really great and successful event.
A few days after this, the NY IAPs had another wonderful visit—this time from our friend and IAP colleague Jed from Singapore! He flew in to visit us in New York for a long weekend. We went to a Yankee game, to some rooftop restaurant/bars, and to Times Square at night. It was so amazing to see our Singaporean friend in our hometown! Check out some pictures from his visit:
Stay tuned– tomorrow I’m going to show you some more cool events we had in NYC! See you tomorrow!
