It’s my last day blogging this week – an immense thank you to the Be Lufthansa team for giving me the chance to talk about my work on this site. I figured I would end with an overview of life at the station.
So what does an overall day for me look like? It’s never quite the same. Work can range from a start time of 9:00am if I am working on long-term projects like training videos and presentations – or if I am working the late shift in the summer, I could start at 2:30pm and work until 11pm. It all depends on what you’re needed for that day. If I am working flight prep and Ops for the first two flights in the summer, I will arrive at 12:30pm and leave by 9:30pm. While the times may change, this always keeps work varied and interesting.
One of the most enjoyable parts about working at station is the people. I am surrounded by colleagues of all different backgrounds who are some of the nicest people you could ever meet and the best you could ever ask for out of your colleagues. Together we make a great team, and working with them doesn’t feel so much like work at the end of the day because of it.
So what is life here like? At times it can be hectic, it can be stressful, but it is always fast-paced, fun, and truly a one-of-a-kind work place. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
